Full Bio
Natasha Stanic Mann is a Croatian/Yugoslavian-born, London-based performer and theatre maker. Her work combines movement, storytelling and visual imagery to explore migration, identity and belonging.
She began her artistic practice with the collective Labin Art Express in Labin, Croatia, where she co-founded an artist centre in a disused coal mine. There she co-produced her first live performance, On The Road, a site-specific work staged in the former miners’ bathrooms.
During this time she also took part in performing arts workshops with the Dutch company MAPA. Through this collaboration she co-produced Metafoe by Griftheater, a site-specific theatre work performed in different locations throughout the coal mine.
Natasha trained at the International School of Corporeal Mime and holds an Acting Diploma from ARTTS International. She was also the Artistic Director of the Festival of Visual Theatre in Labin, Croatia.
She has collaborated with SDNA on several projects, most extensively on Cinetaxes. She also devised U-263 with Theatralia, which ran at Camden People’s Theatre. In Croatia she worked with renowned Croatian artists on the project Audience with a Special Purpose and took part in R&D for the acclaimed production Balloon by Theatre Exit.
Her video installation Time of Stillness has been shown in both solo and group exhibitions. She also devised and performed short works based on In Limbo—a collection of Brexit testimonies from EU citizens in the UK—presented at the Theatralia Jazz Festival.
More recently she created and performed The Return, a one-woman show that toured several UK fringe venues to critical acclaim.
Natasha has been described as an engaging artist and a mesmerising performer. She is currently developing a new project, Reproducing. Alongside her creative work, she leads workshops for people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience. She is passionate about the power of storytelling to connect people and create a sense of belonging. Her work has been supported by Arts Council England and developed in partnership with leading London theatre venues.
